My name is Kate Turbina. I am an architect with 10+ years of experience in design industry.

Experience

I have worked with hundreds of brands (Marriott, Mars Wrigley, IKEA, Sberbank, Yandex, Mercedes Benz) in different formats with leading international and local architectural agencies (Today&Laboratory, Front Architecture, IND architects Vladimir Radutny).

I have built a successful network across 4 continents with projects in Istanbul, Moscow, Miami, Dubai, London. Today I am based in Turkiye within 4 hours’ flight to any point in Eurasia.

I was a leading architect at freelance, I did collaboration with companies and was a founder of my own companies (M3 architects, SyncViz, SyncDis, ALot). I know how to conduct myself in various set-ups, how to be a leader and a doer simultaneously.

Today I know how to build a company from scratch and put it to its best performance

and how to work in a large team under pressure preserving creativity, desire to learn, flexibility and aspiration to push boundaries. I can swim with the sharks befriend them and enjoy their company.

My experience in designing dozens of public interiors helped me understand the aims of architects and their need to effectively and quickly decorate locations. With this in mind I became one of the creative designers for the brand ALot which appeared on the pages of the most popular and valuable magazines such as ELLE.DECOR, AD Magazine, Interior+Design in 2022. I designed a collection of office cabins for KIT.WORKS in 2019-2020. Today my target is to set up and develop my own furniture brand in Istanbul - LOCAL MADE ™.

I feel comfortable with running projects on different scale (from large buildings to furniture) and at any stage from concept design to architectural supervision.

Education program

I created an online-course Skillbox 3ds Max Cource based on my experience managing 3d rendering team SyncViz.

I was honored to become a speaker at Pratt Institute and Parsons School in New York

I would be happy to work with schools part time or as a fellow lecturer on the topic of furniture and interior design. I have an idea to create a new online course on the border of architecture and technology. If you like to know more you can follow me in LinkedIn social network.

Architecture as a result of Finance & Marketing studies

I would like to collaborate with financial experts and marketing strategists to create more solid concepts. Together with my team SyncDis we discover how financial and marketing studies find application in architecture and design.

As an example of our strategy before we start producing our products in Local Made we do the SWOT analysis to calculate the cost of production and final revenue. Based on that we provide an individual business plan for the amount of items and their price.

And the same work is performed for commercial projects in Hospitality and Working spaces.

For instance, we research the market, competitors, clients’ needs, business goals, the site and the scope of budget. Only after these analysis is finalised we create our concept and produce a final project and specksheets.
