Front door
I feel honoured to work on the exterior part of this project as a part of Front Architecture team, one of the top design companies nowadays. It was an invaluable experience to me and 5 years passed working From the sketches to the final images (2016-2021) like a flash of lightning. I am grateful to have contributed to this gorgeous project. You can enjoy it through this >> link.
I want to highlight in the beginning that such projects are attractive for citizens and tourists. Moscow is a promising location for historical renovation as it has numerous places which beg for a careful reconstruction. I mentioned it briefly in the article about Narkomfin house, which you can read >> here.
I find this project valuable for the city like an example how street can change when the classical historical facade comes back to its initial view.
Prespective street view
Working on the facade aesthetics upgrade I thought about the idea of “how old meets new”.
We aimed at combining new fancy hotel principles to the traditional architecture design, to preserve old and intelligently add new. This hotel is located in a fancy area in a city centre. This bring a high responsibility for the street’s view and the surrounding. Our work was based on the research of the context.
The color scheme were picked from the context. The color for the facade was approved by the city and this contribution to the street design was significant. Previous design of the solid building was made of the ceramic tiles, which covered the original design and looked unpleasant.

Nowadays this hotel attracts tourists from different cities and countries and enriches local neighborhoods.
